Communication Is The Language Of Art & Leadership

A very well said quote by James Humes is equivalent for every period. Generation after generation, every team and their leader can influence the quote of such great writers. The Art of communication can be learned and mastered for development.

A leader can coordinate and communicate with the whole team to succeed. The path to success needs a helping hand in communication. Many issues can be solved and dodged out with the help of communication. There are many ways in which a leader can learn the Art of communication:

1.         Personal Mode

The key to communicating effectively can be done better when done personally. There are many modes in which private mode are preferred mostly, and the reason is simple. A leader that can contact personally for any purpose can create a comfortable link with the employee.

A private mode is possible with close employees or those who need more help initially. It can be used for:

  • Guidance
  • Emotional help
  • Problem-solving
  • Mental support

2.         Formal Model

A formal model is often used to communicate when the workforce is significant. Many works or statements need to be recorded, which requires a standard model.

The most common formal model is through email, as the communication can be saved and not corrected after being sent. One can rely on them for the future as well.

Many leaders with a huge workforce use the formal model with legal language to convey a message. One can reach out to many people through this mode and achieve their purpose of communication. High-positioned leaders prefer to deliver their message through formal modes only as they find it more convenient.

3.         One-To-One Mode

The direct mode of communication or verbal communication is also an art. In this mode, there is no cross-checking or way of updates. This mode is the most personal mode of communication.

There can be short and long conversations related to many serious issues or tasks. Some conferences and meetings fall in this category of communication in workplaces. Leaders can inspire, inform, challenge, and appreciate their employees under a one-to-one mode of communication.

Many employees appreciate their bosses taking the time to communicate in their bubble. There are chances for the employees to discuss their ideas in such a way of communication, and they can ask questions and discuss their performance in the company.
